Thank you for choosing Red Uakari Jungle Tours! We have prepared a complete itinerary of activities to do during your stay with Red Uakari Jungle Tours. 

For your excursion you will be provided with: 

3 meals a day. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or requests. (Vegan, vegetarian, paleo) 

Multilingual native guide with more than 20 years of experience navigating the Amazon River Transportation to and from our Lodge 

Please note “Red Uakari Jungle Tours” specializes in taking adventure travelers into the Amazon rainforest to provide a very intimate and authentic experience. Our Eco-Lodge is not a 5 star hotel, we do not provide WiFi and there is no air conditioning. When you stay at the Red Uakari Lodge you will be immersed in the culture of the local people of San Pedro. You will not be traveling with other people on your excursion, it will be you, your guide, and the jungle. 

Red Uakari Jungle Tours does not provide a hotel while you are in Iquitos. We can recommend several different hotels depending on your needs, whether you want to stay in luxury or if you want a nicer and more economical option.

 15:00 boat expedition to find animals or Hiking in the forest

 20:00 Canoe excursion along the White River, search for animals such as night heron, paca, frogs, boas, etc.

 20:00 Canoe excursion along the Ucayali River, search for animals such as night heron, paca, frogs, boas, etc.

12:00 return to Iquitos 

Travel Needs 

COPY OF PASSPORT: a copy of passport with photo updated for the police station; 

CLOTHING: light weight long sleeve shirts, cotton t-shirts, long cotton pants and shorts  

Poncho or rain jackets 100% necessary in the tropical jungle 

SHOES: hiking boots, sandals to wear in the country house or in canoes, boat rider excursions and swimming in lakes 

Only when we are looking for pink or gray dolphins 

WATER BOTTLE: Please bring a canteen, or just buy water in Iquitos, 

A small water bottle needs to be filled daily with pure clean water Sunscreen: Please bring extra sunscreen to protect against ultraviolet rays REPELLENT: Bring extra repellent, 

Flashlight and batteries: To use for excursions and use it in your room 

Binoculars: important, if you are interested in birds, binoculars will be useful to see birds and common keys at the top of trees 

CAMERA 

PERSONAL FIRST AID KIT: Important to bring your personal medicine and recipes we have medicinal plants from the jungle, but you may be allergic - please let us know if you are allergic and we will prepare and give you special food and fruits; or if you have we will take precautions and give you special attention, 

MONEY: Only bring small denomination bills to buy souvenirs in the towns around the country house, and to buy soft drinks, beer and other things; but please check your money before arriving in Peru. 

The tickets must be in perfect condition.

Visit the native community of San Pedro 

Shaman ceremony, where a local shaman will show you the native plants
